What are your top recommendations on things to see or do near your property?

Bolgoda Lake, a 400 sq kilometre wetland consisting of two lakes. It is the largest and most diverse freshwater lake in Sri Lanka with the highest biodiversity on the island. Spot purple herons, pelicans, endless waders, waterfowl, and a variety of cormorants, kingfishers and sea eagles

Galle, founded in the 16thC by the Portuguese is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in Asia and South East Asia and it is a UNESCO declared World Heritage site.

Maha Viharaya Temple in Wadduwa dates back 300 years and features fabulous relief plasterwork depicting the life of Lord Buddha. Over 20 monks live in the relatively small complex and are welcoming to visitors.

What should all honeymoon guests ensure they pack in their suitcase for their visit to your location?

Bring loose cool or linen cotton clothes suitable for the tropics and beach shoes.

What would you recommend for honeymoon couples to do in order to relax at Reef Villa & Spa?

Enjoy a multitude of treatments at our spa, walk along the never-ending sandy beach dipping your toes in the warm Indian Ocean, laze away the afternoon in a hammock strung between two palm trees, enjoy a private romantic dinner in the garden.

Where is the best spot for photos at your property or at nearby attractions?

Around the lily ponds which are teeming with fish, amongst the tropical gardens or under one of many palm trees
